In his role, he leads a team of more than 3,000 professionals responsible for the strategy, portfolio management, Go to Market experience through Customer and partner journeys of the entire Customer Experience Lifecycle portfolio, resulting in $13.8B of annual revenue globally. Focused on innovation and simplicity, his team enables a high-value pathway to customer digital transformation.
Alvio has a track record of leading high-performance teams in executive management roles at some of the world’s leading telecommunications and networking companies. In his more than 30-year career in technology, his focus has been on transforming organizations to achieve significant growth, driving innovation while effectively managing profitability and developing high-performing teams.
He joined Cisco from Juniper Networks, where he was responsible for the company’s Cloud transformation and growth in advanced solutions, and also led the Enterprise, Commercial, and Partner Organizations globally. Prior to Juniper, he held senior positions at Nortel Networks, Ciena, and Bellsouth.
Alvio’s people-first leadership style drives his commitment to creating amazing experiences for customers and to fostering a positive, inclusive corporate culture. Hispanic Information Technology Executive Council (HITEC) recently recognized him among their Top 100 Leaders for 2020.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with honors from Florida International University and has completed several executive leadership programs. He also gives his time and energy to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Covenant House International.
